I’ve always thought the best weddings feel a little less like productions and a little more like someone opened the doors and said, come in, we saved you a seat. Beautiful things matter. I love a ridiculous floral arrangement. I love a beautifully set table, a good dress, a sailcloth tent glowing after dark. But none of it means much if you spend the whole day rushing past the people you invited to celebrate with you. So I pay attention. I watch the room. I leave space where it’s needed. I photograph the big things, certainly, but I’m just as interested in the hand resting on your shoulder, the conversation happening three feet outside the frame, and the people who stayed on the dance floor until the very end.
